Chinese ambassador wishes Iranian a happy Nowruz

The Chinese ambassador in Tehran has felicitated the Iranian nation on the arrival of the Persian New Year also known as Nowruz by posting a picture of himself at a Haftsin table.  

Via a tweet message, Chang Hua congratulated the Iranian people on the arrival of Nowruz, writing, "I hope you have a prosperous year and full of happiness ahead."

The Chinese ambassador in Tehran published this tweet with a photo next to the Iranian Haftsin table which is the tradition of putting 7 symbolic objects together whose names commence with S.

With its Iranian origins, Nowruz is a two-week-long holiday of spring and renewal that has been passed on from generation to generation throughout the last millennium, and is celebrated in many countries including Iran and Afghanistan.
